Angels with Broken Wings
(inspired by and dedicated to Hannah and all the children of Brenner's Children Hospital)

Angels with broken wings can soar past the dark, beyond the light, above the sky, and far, far out of sight.
They are given flight, held aloft by their courage and God’s love.
They do not know their wings are broken -- they only feel the gentle breeze that lifts them high above.
They do not dwell on what they cannot do, but delight in what they can.
They do not know about self-pity. They do not ask, “Why Me?”
These angels rejoice in the moment and every miracle they see, never knowing they are the greatest earthly miracles we will ever see.
