Under construction, but you know who you are!

Many thanks to the kind people who have visited our site and understand and appreciate what we are and what we are trying to accomplish.  You know who you are and Bless You.

Those who have earned their wings too many times to count.  Angel investors like Corrine and Ben, the Dyer's, Wendell and Loretta, Israel and Ruby, 'The Fighter Pilot', Dep. L. Purdy (watcher of wayward animals!), Gail, and the list goes on and as my ADD brain recalls them, I will give them their due credit.  Because I can never truely repay them.

I could start from the beginning, after Phil's heart attack.  I leaned on Gail Davenport - whose medical experience, combined with 'the look' (that Phil quickly learned Gail meant business), saved Phil's life in the first critical weeks after the heart attack.  I had to work, and Gail gave 110% of herself, her time, patience, and sanity as Phil is NOT a good patient.  He had his orders and like a child, he tried his best to bend or break every one of them.  He has worn out one care giver.  That would be me.

But in Gail, like Corrine, Phil had met his match.  When Phil would test the limits like a child, Gail would treat him like a child, especially when Phil was caught in the act breaking her (and/or the doctors') many rules.  It was amazing to watch and listen to each one's point and counterpoint.  Phil, of course, would be the counterpoint, because Gail made SURE she drove home her point!  By the second day Phil had a new name: 'That Old Goat."  Short of an expletive thrown in here and again when she caught Phil in one of his more outlandish lies.  Not lying straight out, mind you, but Phil is the master when it comes to lying by omission if he is caught breaching the orders of the care providers.

I think I will let Gail submit her stories on this.  They will leave you laughing and saying to yourself, "Yep, that sounds just like <insert name here>"!  Hey Gail - time for replacement surgery this year.  If what is being discussed comes to pass, it is a good thing and will be an 'upgrade with enhancements' in laymen's terms.  I am home of course, but only *you* can make him follow the medical rules.  Corrine is working on re-training him on her House Rules.

LOL! I wonder if Phil realizes the 'control' these two have on him!  The infamous "C" word has taken on new meaning and new life.

Just don't tell Phil, but if you do, you sure as heck did not hear it from me!  Trust me one that one.
