In Memory of my Dad, Ray Jones (9/9/1924 to 1/6/2010)
Quiet, honest men who go to war when little more than boys ~ men who faced death for their country; came home and worked a lifetime at one job when that was something that could be done. They raised a family, paid their obligations and voted. These men do not make a mark like the flash of fireworks ~ they never seek recognition for themselves.
They are the foundation that forms the bedrock of this country for which they fought.
Ray Jones was such a man; quiet and unassuming ~ He was the definition of an American Hero, and he was ours.
(inspired by his son-in-law, Phil Garner, 6 Jan 2010)
